Embracing its blossoming

Dawn, sky a sea of blue

He sits, watches clouds uncurl

Today is a new world

Somewhere there is misery

He whispers a prayer of sympathy

Through open window, the sound

Melodious, as warblers sing unceasingly.

Out then he ventured into pastures green

Autumns dew falling from bronzed leaves

Cobwebs glistening in early morning sun

He uttered not a word

Listening only to the silence of the countryside

Watching the graceful flutter of a butterfly

The silence soundly broken by the shouting of Jackdaws

As they soared above nested tree tops

Longing to linger here

He walked along into the unknown

Impressed by the splendour of life.
