Peering out at leaden sky
Most unpleasant to the eye
Raindrops chase down window pane
On sodden fields they leave their stain
Wild wind howling
Through keyholes hear it whistle
The countryside in the depth of night
Black as the hobs of hell
Yes winter is upon us
So this night he sets himself the task
of writing poetry with rhyme
Not having much luck
He thought, better I suppose –
Turn the poem on its head
Write a poetic piece
In ordinary language.
