Glistening sunlight upon the dew
Welcomes a winter morning
Crows skawking, cawing scavenge for scraps
While a murmuration of starlings
Far out over sand dunes
Put on a magic show for an audience of one
The golden sand today
Blackened from constant rainfall and stormy winds
Littered with debris
Washed in from sea and close by fields
Sea gulls duck and dive in search
Of tasty morsels
As the dog hurls himself at
Incoming white horses
Far off in the hazy distance, fishing boats
Making their way to the nearby port
Happy to off load their catch
Fishermen long to stretch their sea legs
So the story of this constitutional draws to a close
With cobwebs well and truly blown away
A poem might yet be composed.

Quite mild here but quite windy and raining. But as I live in the city, my view isn’t nearly as beautiful and inspiring as yours.

There is always great beauty to be found in bleakness.

Isn’t that a fact Walt, hope all is well in your world and you escaped the blizzards I was reading about over the past couple of days.
