Writing is great therapy
May not be for everybody
Sitting down with the challenge of an empty page-
Once the first word is laid down, continue stage by stage
Not always having a ready topic
Does not faze him anymore, nor fill him with dreaded fear
It may not turn out to be a masterpiece, have no regrets
There is no time limit, so he allows lots of time to think
There never was a classic written
As quick as an eye can blink?
Some poetry he has read, could take months, even years to compose
Written by “proper poets” of which he’ll not be one
He writes for the hell of it – worries not if his efforts never see day light
Then again, who knows, someday someone might throw a plaudit his way
So now, see what can be achieved-
He has just filled a foolscap page – now feeling quite relieved.
